Meet Our Home Health Care Providers at Comfort Keepers of Bremerton, WA

Our team of home health care providers is uniquely qualified and ready to help with all of your needs

Our home health care providers are at the core of our operation, providing the customized senior care services our clients have come to know and love. We don't provide cookie-cutter plans, as we understand every senior has unique needs. Many are specially trained and ready to help with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, end of life care, Veteran's care as well as basic homemaker services.

Every one of our home health care providers is professional and well trained. We conduct a thorough screening and interviewing process to identify the best candidates, and only those who pass this process go on to complete training to deliver our special brand of care and become Comfort Keepers caregivers. What truly sets our people apart, though, is their natural gift for caring for others.

All Comfort Keepers pass extensive background checks and complete continuing education. They are bonded, insured and covered by workers' compensation insurance to protect our clients and their families.

If you are interested in meeting one of our home health care providers during a free in-home care consultation, please contact us online or call anytime at (360) 373-5678, a Senior Advisor will be able to take your inquiries day or night.

Gretchen Kelling

Care Manager

“I am the scheduling coordinator for Comfort Keepers. I love my job! I get to work with a wonderful team of caring individuals that work for a group of amazing seniors. Our goal is to maintain a level of care that keeps families together in the home. I have been in the health care industry since moving to Washington.

I am a mother to three boys and two step daughters, and I’m a grandmother to two! I have been in the Pacific Northwest for 15 years and I will remain here for a very long time. I am passionate about family and spending time together enjoying our beautiful community.”

“My mother drew a distinction between achievement and success. She said that achievement is the knowledge that you have studied and worked hard and done the best that is in you. Success is being praised by others. That is nice but not as important or satisfying. Always aim for achievement and forget about success.” Helen Hayes

I’m the first person you see when you come into the office and the voice on the phone when you call.

I enjoy spending my free time with my 4 grandchildren and doing outdoor family activities such as camping, hiking and spending time by the lake.

Michelle Risley

Director of Operations Excellence/Human Resources

As Human Resource Specialist I am excited to be able to work for a company that shares some of my personal beliefs in helping seniors stay in the home and continue to live a good quality of life and still be as independent as they are able.

I bring to Comfort Keepers an extensive background in recruiting, performance management, career development, employee relations and compliance.  My goal is to assure that Comfort Keepers employs the best individuals to care for our amazing seniors and to help them live the best quality of life possible.

I am relatively new to the Pacific Northwest and love it!  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and am always up for an adventure.  I currently reside in Kingston, WA with my family.

Cindy Uptain

Scheduling Coordinator

Twenty years ago my husband and I moved to Kingston from King County to raise our children. During this time, I have developed a love for the Kitsap community and specifically for serving the seniors here. Serving seniors and their families is something I have been doing now for over 9 years and it has become my passion. Currently, I am enrolled at Western Washington University with the goal of becoming a Certified Geriatric Care Manager. Enabling seniors to stay as independent as possible is fulfilling work and I am honored to be working with the team here at Comfort Keepers.

“The sooner growing older is stripped of reflexive dread, the better equipped we are to

benefit from the countless ways in which it can enrich us.”

Pam McGahey, LPN

Assistant General Manager

I come to Comfort Keepers with over 33 years of experience working as a Nurse and Administrator in a variety of Healthcare settings from Birth to Geriatrics, Hospital/Skilled Nursing Facility, Home Care and Care Management.  I have supervised and recruited Physicians, Nurses and Care Managers for different entities, set up Medical Practices, and worked diligently at keeping our most vulnerable clients where they want to be…in a safe home setting.   My husband of 25 years and I have 2 biological grown children and have foster/adopted many children with medical disabilities.  We have been through the paces of our parents aging and needing 1:1 care.  Living on a large farm in Washington, we appreciate the little things that come with keeping our medically dependent loved ones at home and with people helping that we can trust.  I am currently enrolled in College and working towards my Masters.
